Martin Voženílek – Founder of YachtNet
Martin founded YachtNet in 1999, building on years of personal sailing experience and a strong focus on maritime education. He earned his first skipper’s license in 1994 and later became a certified yacht instructor and examiner for the Czech Ministry of Transport. He is also an officially authorized examiner for practical skipper’s tests under the Czech State Navigation Authority.
With over 20 years of experience both on the water and in charter operations, Martin has helped shape the Czech and international yacht charter market. From the beginning, his goal has been to make chartering accessible, professional, and dependable – a vision that still drives YachtNet today.
Martin remains deeply involved in the business and sailing community – from training new skippers to supporting clients and partners. He enjoys both sailing and motor yachts, and takes pride in sharing the world of yachting with others. As a member of the European Yachting Alliance, he actively supports higher industry standards and stronger collaboration across the sector.
